Trecia Snider

Trecia E. Sanders-Snider passed away on June 15, 2023 in Albuquerque, NM with her sons by her side. 

Trecia was born August 15, 1928 in Brownville, TX.  She was one of six children born to James C. and Mary Wilson.   As a child, Trecia lived in many places in Texas before the family settled in Carlsbad, NM.  Trecia married George E. Sanders in 1944 in Carlsbad, NM. They were the parents to three sons.  The family moved to Alamogordo 1963.  Trecia and George were married until George passed in 1990.

Trecia worked as an Avon Lady for many years, as well as an Avis Representative until her retirement.  In 1993 she married Troy J. Snider.  They enjoyed travelling, hosting parties, and caring for their dog.  

Trecia is preceeded death by her first husband, George Sanders; her second husband, Troy Snider; her parents, James C. and Mary Wilson and her brother, Nelson O. Wilson.

She is survived by her sons, Harold (Betty); Jimmy R. (Jeri) and George E. (Susan).  She was “Grandma Trecia” to six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brothers, Gene (Della); J.E. and Bobby Wilson and her sister, Margaret Lowe, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held July 10, 2023 at 10:30 AM with Thurman Lowe officiating.

The family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Scenic Chapel to direct the services.
