Ruth Faye Allen

Ruth Faye Allen, age 91, peacefully went to be with her Lord Jesus on Wednesday, October 7th, 2020 in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

Ruth was born May 12, 1929 in Morton, Texas to Fred and Mary Warton.

Ruth owned and operated a private kindergarten for many years, worked for Security National Bank, and later retired from the Alamogordo Public Schools business office.

Ruth’s first Love was her deceased husband (Alsey) Carroll and her family.  She always looked forward to the day she would meet Carroll in Heaven and she parted this earth on his birthday. She also enjoyed her church, walking, visiting with people, baking and sharing banana bread and strawberry jam.

Survivors include a sister, Freda Baldwin of Indiana; children, Carolyn Allen of Moriarty, New Mexico, Jimmy (Lisa) Allen of San Jose California, Mary (Robert) Blanton of Alamogordo, New Mexico; grandchildren, Gareth (Joanna), and Gavin (Jenna)Stitt, Jason Allen, Brandon and Katie Sharpe, Shawna Blanton (Ian) Conway, Amy Blanton (Glenn) Santos ; eight great grandchildren, Joshua Pena, Chelsea (Nevie) Shaffer, Anthony Santos, Braedon Conway, Aria and Lyric Stitt, and Jordan and Sidney Stitt and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, 5 brothers (Bill, Marvin, JW, David, Bobby), her beloved spouse Carroll and a granddaughter, Brenna Allen.

Ruth’s Spirit returned to God when she left this earth, and her ashes will be joined with her beloved Carroll’s in the Christ Community Church columbarium until Jesus returns and their ashes are turned to glorified bodies, in the blink of an eye - 1 Corinthians 15:52

Due to Covid 19, a memorial is tentatively planned for a beautiful day in spring/summer of 2021.

The Allen family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Scenic Chapel.
