Robert T Burns

Robert Burns, 94, passed away on February 11, 2017 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. He was born on August 2, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois to Christopher and Genevieve (Walsh) Burns.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel Burns, his two daughters, Jenny (David) Bishop of Alamogordo, NM, Theresa (Terry) Storlie of Sidney, AR; four sons, Br. Michael Patrick Burns, OFM of Albuquerque, NM, Thomas James (Sarah) Burns of Rio Rancho, Joseph Robert (Nancy) Burns of Alamogordo, NM, Robert C (Traci) Burns of Grayslake, IL. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and 1 sister-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his son, David M Burns; son, Anthony M Burns; grandson, Paul E Battershell; father, Christopher Thomas Burns; mother, Genevieve Mary Burns and brother, David M. Burns.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. Jack Clark Robinson, OFM Provincial Minister, Celebrant .

The Burns family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
