Richard Lowell Holstein passed away on January 26, 2017 after a long battle with skin cancer. He was born on Friday, November 7, 1932 in Danville, West Virginia to Emert and Essie Holstein.
Survivors include his four sons, Jeffery Holstein of Alamogordo, NM, Michael (Cathy) Holstein of Bloomington, IN, David (Karen) Holstein of Arvada, CO, John Holstein of Norcross, GA and a daughter, MaryAnn (Rick) Collings of Clovis, NM. He is also survived by one brother, Jack (Linda) Holstein of Bahama, NC, 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and a niece and nephew. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rose Holstein, his parents, 1 brother, and 2 sisters.
Graveside services will be held at Monte Vista Cemetery on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 1:00 PM.
The Holstein family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home to direct the funeral services. Cremation will take place at PCS.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to Grace United Methodist Church for "Shared Table" or to the Alamogordo Hospice.
