Ricardo Solorio

Ricardo Solorio a father, brother, son, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on October15th 2022 in Alamogordo, NM. He was born in Juarez, Mexico on March 13th, 1968.

Through the years, Ricardo retired from Mesa Verde after 20 long years. He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. Making friends wherever he went, he was a stranger to no one. He also loved to dance, his hobbies included working on his cars or trucks among many things, he was a jack of all trades. Everyone who knew Ricardo felt his big heart and giving nature. He was also a big fan of the Denver Broncos.

He was preceded in death by his father, Miguel Solorio Sr; his mother, Antonia Solorio and his brother, Juan “Meche” Sanchez

He was survived by his daughters, Vanessa, Sabrina, and Brittany Solorio and son, Ricardo “Ricky” Solorio; his grandkids – Aaliyah, Jeremiah, and Ayanna Zamora. Jaslene and John all of Alamogordo, NM; his brothers, Gilbert Valdez- Ft, Worth, TX. Gerardo Solorio- Sunland Park, NM. Ismael Solorio- Berino, NM. Francisco “Pancho” Solorio- Juarez, Mexico. Jesus, Mario, and Raul Solorio – Chicago, IL. Alfredo Solorio – El Paso, TX. Miguel Solorio – Alamogordo, NM; his sisters, Obdulia Alonso – Alamogordo, NM. Patricia Gonzales – Alamogordo, NM and Bertha Bechthum – Germany. He also had numerous nephews and nieces.

The family would like to thank all nurses and hospice nurse for their compassionate care during his time with them. They’d also like to thank all of our family and friends for their support and prayers.

Services will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Alamogordo, NM, with the Rosary starting at 10:30 a.m., Mass at 11:00 a.m., and Burial at 12:00 p.m.

Reception to follow at 20 Alamotero Lane, in Alamogordo, NM.
