Nancy Nell Bunker

Nancy Nell Bunker, 82, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2021 at home in Alamogordo, New Mexico.  Nancy was born on September 1, 1938 in Alamogordo, New Mexico to Earl and Nona Holcomb.

Nancy was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker.  She worked in sales for JC Penney for 10 years to help put her two sons through college.  She was an enthusiastic animal lover and took care of many pets in her home over the years.  She had a big heart to rescue wounded birds, raised many box turtles, and adopted many stray cats into her tender care.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Richard Bunker Jr. of Alamogordo; her sons, Richard Bunker III and Bruce Bunker and his wife, Sharon, all of Las Cruces; her brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Paula Holcomb of La Luz; 15 nieces and nephews, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grand children.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Nona Holcomb, her sisters Linda Scott and Kathryn Holcomb.

Due to current Covid restrictions, only family will attend a graveside service.

The Bunker family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Scenic Chapel to direct the services.
