Miguel Viscarra

Miguel “Mickey” Viscarra, 84, of Alamogordo, NM, passed away on November 8, 2024.

He is survived by his daughter, Margaret Viscarra; grandchildren, Miguel, Micaela, and Gabriella Viscarra, brother, Tino Viscarra; and is also remembered by his extended family. 

Mickey is preceded in death by his wife, Veronica Viscarra; his mother, Ramona Viscarra; his sisters, Rosa Trujillo, Eva Montoya, Angelina Mendez, Elvira Briviescas; and brother, Salvador Viscarra.

Mickey was born on July 18, 1940. He was a lifelong resident of Alamogordo and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He retired as an employee of the State of New Mexico and was passionate about his family, especially his beloved dog, Luna. He enjoyed visiting the casino on Sundays after church and was a lifetime fan of the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Dodgers. 

Services will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 705 Delaware Avenue on December 2, 2024. Visitation will begin at 9:30AM, with a rosary at 10:00AM and mass at 10:30AM. The burial will take place after the mass at ICC Cemetery. A private reception will follow.

The Viscarra Family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Scenic Chapel. 

Mickey Viscarra will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
