Mary Melendrez

Mary Cleotilde Melendrez (Tillie) born on October 22, 1932 in Tecolote New Mexico.

She was the devoted wife of her deceased husband Mariano Luna Melendrez. Mary was also preceded in death by her daughter, Romana Griego.

She is survived by her children Mariano, Frances Zanelli, Clara Torres, Jose, Ruthina Chavez, Beatrice Salas, David, Richard, Robert, Ernest, Cecelia Woosley and Martin. Mary is the grandmother, great grandmother and great great mother of 150 children (and counting).

The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday March 2, 2023 at St Jude's Catholic Parish 1404 College Avenue, Alamogordo, NM at 11:00 am followed by the grave site service at the Mi Ranchito cemetery site at 72 Rattlesnake Road, Tularosa, NM. Pall bearers will be Jerald, David, Robbie, Ernesto, Orlando, and Ricky.  The celebrants are Fr. Marcel, Fr. Patrick and Deacon Mariano.

The family wishes to invite all to attend a reception at St. Francis de Paula Parish Hall at 303 Encino St., Tularosa NM.

The Melendrez family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Scenic Chapel to direct the funeral services.
