Marshall Ellis Griffith

Marshall Ellis Griffith of Tularosa, NM passed away at his home on February 16, 2026.

Marshall was born on February 6, 1956 in Holloman Air Force Base the son of Marshall and Lucille (Lucy). 

Marshall met and married Julie Lawrence, whom he met at Alamogordo Police Department where they both worked.  They were married on June 19,1982 in Tularosa.

Marshall enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1974-1977 and settled in Tularosa.  He worked for Alamogordo Police Department from 1980 until he retired
in 2000 as a Corporal.  He then worked as a police officer at White Sands Missile Range.

Marshall is survived by his wife, Julie of Tularosa; his brother, David Griffith of Alamogordo; and sister, Gwen Tinkham of Edgewood, NM.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Lucy.

Marshall loved taking care of his dogs, cats, chickens and horses and tinkering with his John Deere tractor.

A celebration of life will be held at Casa de Suernos in Tularosa from 2 to 5 pm on Saturday, the 11th of April.  Come join us in celebrating Marshall's love and pride as an avid Green Bay Packer fan.  Wear your favorite NFL jersey in his honor.

The Griffith family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Scenic Chapel to direct the funeral services.
