Marion Louise Soles

Marion Louise Soles, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at 6:14 am at the age of 93.

Born on March 18, 1933, in Sayre, Pennsylvania, Marion was the daughter of the late Walter and Tressa Drake. She lived a life centered on family, her cats, kindness, and the simple joys that brought people together.

In 1958, Marion married the love of her life, Lyman R. Soles. They shared many years together until his passing in 2000.

Marion is survived by her son, Walter Soles and his wife, Myra Soles, of Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Jennifer Haselby and her husband, Eric Haselby, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Russell Soles of Alamogordo, New Mexico; her beloved great grandchildren, Brooke Haselby and Zoe Soles.

Marion was an avid animal lover and enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. She will be remembered for her caring spirit, her love for animals, and the warmth she shared with those around her.

For those who wish to pay their respects and say their farewells, a Visitation service will take place at 10:00 am on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Scenic Chapel followed by Graveside at Monte Vista Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Marion’s memory to a local animal shelter.

The family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Scenic Chapel to direct the funeral services.
