Luis Preciado

Luis Preciado peacefully went to be with the Lord on October 22, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on December 21st, 1931 growing up in Bent, NM till he joined the army serving in the Korean War.

He returned home from the war to work civil service at HAFB where he retired after 22 years. He then met and married his 1st wife, Magdalena Castillo, till her passing. Then he married his current wife, Florence in Feb. 1975. Their families were then joined together to begin a new chapter in life. He loved, adored & respected Florence as an amazing wife & best friend including being a mother of over 42 years to their children.

Luis is survived by his wife, Florence Preciado; his children, Mary Lerma, Veronica (Betty) Preciado, Albert Preciado, Alex Preciado, Angie Creer, Louis Preciado Jr. & Becky, Estevan Balderrama & Kelly, Edward Balderrama & Amanda, Joe Preciado & Anna; also survived by his widowed daughter-in-law, MaryEllen Preciado, Sabrina Bingham & Scott, Ernest Creer; also 23 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren & 3 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete & Conception Telles-Preciado; his 1st wife, Magdalena Castillo Preciado; his siblings, Ray Prediado, Anita Baldonado & Lola Candelaria; following by his children, Cookie, Matthew & Juan.

Rosary will begin at 10am on Saturday, October 28th at ICC Church with mass beginning promptly at 11am.

Graveside service follows at ICC Cemetery with full military honors.

Potluck reception after burial at ICC Hall.

Pallbearers include Mary Lerma, Veronica Preciado, Albert Preciado, Alex Preciado, Angie Creer, Louis Preciado, Estevan Balderrama & Edward Balderrama.
