Lois Ann Jackson, a Christian with a beautiful, loving soul born to William and Alice McKinney on January 20, 1929 was called home on November 5, 2024 to join her husband Howard Clyde Jackson, she was 95 years young. Lois was survived by her son, Rodney Lee, her daughter Jean Ann, her son Howard Kerry. Lois was also survived by 4 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 7 great great-grandchildren, and preceded in death by 2 grandchildren.
Lois Ann was a true beacon of kindness and a love that will forever reside in our hearts. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She would often wear very elaborately decorated hats and fashion accessories, such as a feather boa, at the group's get-togethers. Lois, whom everyone referred to as “mom” was a true friend and loved one for life. She enjoyed going to the senior center in Alamogordo spending time with her friends and dancing the night away. On Sunday’s she attended the Cowboy Church time in worship. One of her favorite past times was watching football and cheering on her favorite team the Dallas Cowboys. She enjoyed crocheting and crocheted beautiful Afghans. Often, she would have her friends over on a warm sunny afternoon where they would play music and enjoy each other’s company. Her favorite song was “I Want to be a Cowboys Sweetheart”. Mom enjoyed living her life with her family and friends surrounding her.
Lois Ann’s Celebration of Life will be held on November 16th, 2024, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at her home, 653 Laborcita Road, La Luz, New Mexico 88337.
