Also known as L.W. (Buz) Zink

Buz was born on February 8, 1931, to Harry Zink and Laurie (Garlick) Zink on Ft Bliss, El Paso, Texas. 
He passed from this life January 1, 2025, in El Paso, Texas. 

Buz moved from El Paso to Alamogordo, New Mexico in 1970 as general manager of the Coca Cola - Dr. Pepper plant in Alamogordo.

During his life, he was active in many organizations such as rotary, noon Lions and served on the board of counselors at Security Bank and Trust.  He was also a member of Central Church of Christ in Alamogordo.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Zink, and stepchildren, Kerry Maupin, Cindy & Mike Stagner, Tammy & Rusty Childress, and Tim Maupin, also Leandra Elting.  Although Buz had no biological children, he loved these children as his own.  He has eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Laurie Zink; his brother, Larry Zink; and sister, Shirley Zink; daughter-in-law, Gay Maupin; and great granddaughter, Sofia Avila
