Mrs. Judy M. Armstrong, beloved Marine wife of 60 years of SgtMaj Joe Armstrong, USMC (Ret) passed peacefully at home on June 27, 2022 surrounded by family after a five month illness.
Voted most likely to never leave her home town of Oceanside, CA, she traveled from duty station to duty station around the world, including hardship tours in the Philippines, picturesque Scotland, the United Kingdom and numerous memory filled posts from coast to coast and throughout these United States and Washington, DC. Finally settling in Alamogordo in 1995 enjoying retired life, family, friends and travel.
Survivors include her husband, Joe; children, John (Janine) Armstrong of Arlington, WA; Karen (Cliff) Whynaught of Oceanside, CA; Mark (Sylvia) Williams of Fredricksburg, VA; grandchildren, Cooper Armstrong of Marysville, WA; Clifford (Ashlyn) Whynaught, Eric Whynaught, Mark (Remi) Whynaught, Katelyn (Stone) Whynaught-Stevenson of Las Vegas, NV; Adam Williams, Jenna Williams of Fredricksburg, VA; Cpl Nicholas Williams USMC of Ft Meade, MD; great-grandchildren, Rylynn, River, Cooper, Ryder, Hailey, Nathanial.
The family will greet friends from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Scenic Chapel.
