Obituary
Joyce Ahern Anderson, 92, formerly of Ray and Berthold, ND, passed away on March 19th, 2023 at her son's home in Alamogordo, NM.
Joyce was born on October 25, 1930, in Berthold North Dakota to William "Bill" and Gladys (Brown) Ahern. Joyce graduated from Berthold High School in 1948. In 1951 she married to Lloyd H. Anderson in Minot, North Dakota. The couple moved to Ray, North Dakota in 1953. To this union a daughter and son were born, Jennifer and Mark. Joyce served as a member of the Altar Society at St. Michael's Church, had fun with her birthday club and enjoyed meeting with her friends for coffee. She made numerous colorful afghans.
Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Frohrip of Alamogordo, NM; son, Mark Anderson of Alamogordo, NM; sister, Donna Halgrimson of Yerington, NV; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sisters, Mildred Marie Ahern and Gail Catherine Ahern; brothers, John F. Ahern and William E. " Billy" Ahern; and son-in-law, John Frohrip.
Per Joyce's wishes she will be cremated with burial following at a later date at Wild Rose Cemetery at Berthold, ND.
The Anderson family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Scenic Chapel.
