Janie Hargraves

Janie Odessa Hargraves, 86, passed away on August 18, 2022 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She was born on November 1, 1935 in Mc Kinney, Texas to Joseph and Henrietta Luster.

Basically, Janie was a home body and loved to be home with family watching TV.   She loved to read. She enjoyed tending to her rose garden and sitting on her porch surrounded by friends and family.

Survivors include her five daughters, Rachel Hargraves of Alamogordo, NM; Deborah Skaggs of Tampa FL; Kim Hood of Greenville, TX, Beverly Hargraves and Sheila Hargraves of Alamogordo, NM;; one son, Robert Hargraves of Oklahoma City, OK.  Other survivors include numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Luster; mother, Henrietta Luster; Sharon Ward of Detroit, MI and Angela Sturdevant of Phoenix, AZ.

Burial will be at Monte Vista Cemetery August 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.  

The Hargraves family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Scenic Chapel to direct the funeral services.
