James (Jim) Robert Hiller
Born Oct 24, 1933, in Sullivan, Missouri. He left this world to join his parents, Etherton Hiller, Edith (Record, Hiller) Gilliam and stepfather Clifford Gilliam. He also joins his siblings Marcus Hiller, Betty Howard (Gary) and David Gilliam (Ruth Ann). His children with Patricia Litton: Betty Moore (Nigel), Barbara Hiller, James B. Hiller, Chris Morehkash, Pauline Chamberlain (Doug), and Sheila Pogson (Brian) and 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren celebrate his life.
After graduating High School, he enlisted in the USAF. He married and traveled to several countries during his career spending his time working on the F-4 Fantom and other aircraft. He settled in Alamogordo after 20 years with the Air Force in 1972. He worked a short time for Presto before getting a position with RATSCAT-White Sands. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on vehicles, square dancing, gunsmithing and time with family and friends. He was a member of the Cloudcroft Chamber of Commerce, Cloudcroft Kiwana’s, Sacramento Mountain Man Society, a senior motorcycle club-The Retreads, and a longtime member of the Alamogordo International Order of Odd Fellows.
The memorial service for James Hiller will be held at 9:30 am Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Scenic Chapel with Pastor Anthony Torres officiating.
