Guillermo "Willie" Quirarte was born on March 3, 1951 in Ameca, Jalisco, Mexico to Salvador and Maria Trinidad Quirarte.
Guillermo "Willie" Quirarte was a strong and great man. He was a loving husband, loving father and a very caring person. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a very dedicated worker. He worked at the Inn of the Mountain Gods for over 20 years. He made time for his brothers, sisters, and mother as well as all of his family.
Guillermo "Willie" Quirarte loved his garden. Anything he planted was sure to grow. He was an avid horseman. He rode, trained, and ‘broke' horses.
Guillermo "Willie" Quirarte could fix anything. His talents were many. He was a gun aficionado. He liked to get things done right away; "get-it-done-now" not "later" kind of person.
Survivors include, his wife Estrella Quirarte of Alamogordo, NM, his mother Maria Trinidad Quirarte from San Bernadino, California, his children, Eddie Quirarte of Ruidoso Downs, NM; Guillermo (Melissa) Quirarte Jr. from California; Roy (Claudia) Quirarte from Ruidoso Downs, NM; Gloria (Edgar) Quirarte Prospero from Las Cruces, NM; Melissa Lorraine (Jose) Porras from Hondo, NM and Cesar Fierro from Tularosa, NM.
Guillermo "Willie" Quirarte is also survived by his siblings: Petra (Jesus) Ramos from San Bernadino, California; Ismael (Sylvia) Quirarte from Sacramento, California; Angel (Maria) Quirarte from Alta Vista de Ramos, Jalisco, Mexico; Jose (Enriqueta) Quirarte from El Centro, California; Emma (Raul) Aguilar from Lake Tahoe, Nevada; Maria Quirarte from Buena Park, California; Elva (Alfredo) Quirarte Garcia from Sacramento, California.
Guillermo "Willie" Quirarte is also survived by fifteen (15) grandchildren and two (2) great-children and many nieces and nephews.
Guillermo "Willie" Quirarte was preceded in death by his father Salvador Quirarte Ramos and his brother Filemon Quirarte.
The family will be having a visitation on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 3PM until 7 PM at Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home Chapel located at 1334 North Scenic Drive, Alamogordo, NM. Funeral Services will be conducted at Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home Chapel on November 9, 2017 at 10 AM. A graveside service for Guillermo "Willie" Quirarte will be held at Monte Vista Cemetery in Alamogordo, New Mexico on Thursday, November 9, 2017 immediately following funeral services with Reverend David Crispin officiating.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Quirate; Guillermo Quirarte Jr., Roy Quirarte, Luis Nevarez, Eduardo Quirarte, and Ismael Quirarte
