George W Barker, 72, passed away on February 25, 2017 in Tularosa, New Mexico. He was born on December 12, 1944 in Snow Flake, Arizona to Alpheus and Anna (Johnson) Barker. George was a lifelong member of the Elk Lodge.
Survivors include his son, Doug Barker of Las Cruces, NM; daughter, Tracey A Bigler of Peoria, AZ; two sisters, Patricia (Duane) Johnson of Mesa, AZ, Christine Kinser of Phoenix, AZ; three brothers, Butch Barker of Hobbs, NM, Ronnie (Kathy) Barker of Lake Havasu, AZ, Sam (Cele) Barker of Tularosa, NM; two grandsons, Christopher J Bigler of Tularosa, NM, Tye Barker of Las Cruces, NM; two granddaughters, Kendra Bigler of Safford, AZ, Theresa Barker of Las Cruces, NM; great-granddaughter, Libby Wilson of Safford, AZ;
He was preceded in death by his father, Alpheus Dewey Barker, mother, Anna Delitta.
The family will greet friends at 9:00 am on March 4, 2017, at Christ Community Church.
The funeral service for George Barker will be held at 10:00 am Saturday March 4, 2017 at Christ Community Church with Pastor Jack Brock and Ruiz Juantia officiating.
Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Tularosa.
Pallbearers include: Doug Barker, C.J. Bigler, Duane Johnson, Butch Barker, Ronnie Barker, and Sam Barker.
The Barker family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
