Donald W Ross

Donald W. Ross, 87, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2020 in Alamogordo, NM.  He was born on November 10, 1933 in Bowler, WI. 

Donald accomplished many great roles during his long life.  He was a proud Korean War era Army veteran, husband to Sharon for 62 years, father to 8, grandfather to 15, great-grandfather to 25, and brother to 4. 

Donald loved to work and continued to do so full-time until the age of 86.  He was a former employee of Bertram’s Body Shop (Marion, WI), Walker Motor Company/Walker Salvage (Alamogordo, NM), North 54 Salvage (Alamogordo, NM), New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (Alamogordo, NM), and Arizona State School for the Deaf and Blind (Tucson, AZ).  Along the way he created many lifelong relationships and had volumes of incredible stories that he would often share with a smile.  

Donald was preceded in dead by his parents, his wife, and two children.  

A memorial and celebration of life will be held at the Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Lunds, WI in the Spring of 2021.  Family and friends may make a memorial contribution in his name to Jerusalem Lutheran Church, c/o Duane Olson, 309 N. Humphrey Circle, Shawano, WI 54166. 

The Ross family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Scenic Chapel to direct the funeral services.
