Debra Ann (Roman) Daves

Debra "Debbie" Ann (Roman) Daves, 49, a life-long resident of Alamogordo, passed away on May 28, 2021 at Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. 

Debbie is survived by her husband, Jesse Richard Daves, her father, Fernando M Roman Sr., her mother, Hortensia Roman, and dad Crestino (Chris) Pantoja, her brother, Fernando M Roman Jr. and wife, Yvonne M Roman, her sisters, Tina Pantoja, Renae Pantoja and husband Gilbert Garcia, in-laws, Jessie Richard Daves Sr, and wife, Nadine, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, PG Misquez and wife Josefina, Ramon R Roman Jr. and wife Rebecca, Aunt(s) Anita Emberg, Rebecca "Becky"  Reynolds, and Cuca Hernandez.

She was born on September 16, 1971 in Alamogordo, New Mexico to Fernando M Roman Sr. and Hortencia (Misquez) Roman.  Debbie had a gentle and kind spirit, with the most beautiful smile that touched the soul of every one she met.  In 1990, Debbie was crowned Miss Otero County, and in 1991, she was runner-up to Miss New Mexico.  Her talent was singing as she was blessed with having a beautiful voice.  For many years Debbie endured physical suffering, having been diagnosed at an early age with nasopharynx cancer.  She was the epitome of grace and fortitude, unwavering in her faith.  

The family will greet friends from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on June 5, 2021,  at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (ICCC).

The Vigil with Rosary will be recited at 10:30 am, Saturday, June 5, 2021 at ICCC.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:15 am, Saturday, June 5, 2021 at ICCC. 

Masks are required at the ICCC.

Internment will follow at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers include: Matthew S Roman, Christian M Roman, Stacy Daves, Robert  Daves, Wayne Moore, Connor McCain.
