David F Peterson, 62, of Tularosa, New Mexico passed suddenly May 1, 2021.
He left his wife, Jill Peterson of Tularosa; his dad of Santa Maria, CA; a son, Joshua, and daughter, Angela Peterson, of Washington state; 3 grandchildren also of Washington; 2 step sons, Rody Gleby of New Concord, OH and Aaren Winchell of Crooksville, OH; and one brother, Gene Honeycutt of Las Cruces, NM.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy (Dottie) Deyo of Las Cruces; Kenny Smock of Maslin, OH; Rick Smock of Las Cruces; Candy Cannon also of Las Cruces; and Charlie Honeycutt of Buffalo, Ny.
He was a son, a father, a grandfather, a brother, an uncle, a husband, a helicopter mechanic, a truck driver, an all-around handy guy to have around. He had a good heart and helped people all he could. He enjoyed rock hunting and searching for treasures. He loved spending time with his friends and watching movies and having some drinks. He liked to go riding ATVs and target practicing and was always up for an adventure. He will be missed.
