Consuelo Martinez Corona

Consuelo Martinez Corona, 89, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, went to her forever home with the Lord. Consuelo was born on January 15, 1934, to Concepcion Quiroz and Lazaro Martinez in Durango, Mexico.  Consuelo passed away on April 21, 2023, in Alamogordo, NM.  

Consuelo worked throughout her lifetime as a cook. She was devoted to her family and to God. Consuelo enjoyed singing, dancing, spending time with family and cooking.  

Consuelo was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters, her son Armando Martinez, and her daughter, Concepcion Corona.

Left to cherish her memory are sons: Hector Del Villar, Ernesto Corona (Lisa); daughters: Carmen Del Villar and Susana Corona (Chris); 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. 

Services for Consuelo will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

The family will greet friends from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.

The Rosary will be recited at 1:30 pm.  

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm.

Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.

The Corona family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Scenic Chapel to direct the funeral services.
