Cheryl Lee Anderson, 52, passed away on January 16, 2024, in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She was born on July 15, 1971, in Alamogordo, New Mexico to Richard and Marla Clarke.
Kenneth and Cheryl met and fell in love at a young age marrying November 3, 1990. They were the picture-perfect marriage, a true meaning to ride or die for thirty- three years of marriage. They had a strong unbreakable bond. They loved spending most of their time on camping trips in the mountains and taking multiple trips to her favorite place-Disney Land. In order to stay close to her daughter Lana, Cheryl started to volunteer at Yucca Elementary. She then advanced her career as a substitute teacher in the Alamogordo area, wanting to stay strictly in the Yucca school family. She became the secretary for many years. She continuously touched hearts helping numerous children along the way. She continued her career as a data clerk for the special education program in the Alamogordo Public Schools, serving families for a great number of years before excusing herself due to health circumstances.
If you knew Cheryl, you knew how she loved animals- dogs being her favorite and never could have enough of them. In her free time, she enjoyed doing crafts, hanging out with her girlfriends, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Anderson; two daughters, Lana Anderson and son-in-law, Kelvin Irwin, Amber Hoover and son-in-law, Larry Hoover Jr.; mother, Marla Clarke; brother, Ted Clarke and sister-in-law, Cindy Clarke; father-in-law, Dallas Anderson and mother-in-law, Jennifer Anderson; grandkids, LaTrell, Larry, Eli, Braylen, Ameah; her fur-babies, Harley, Oakie, and Pepper; grand pups, Cassie and Tripp.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard A Clarke; grandparents, Sam and Clara Bednorz, Elfred and Billie Clarke; uncles Bill and Perry Clarke; Aunt Sue Stone, and a great deal of dogs.
The Anderson family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Scenic Chapel.
At her request there will be no services, just a private gathering of family.
